Hello Pigar pigar

Image
It was right after our all day nap when we woke up very hungry ( We watched the take off of manila matnog manila in Quezon city hall on the eve of November 28, 2015 ) I was craving for some creamy mushroom gravy and beef steak when I thought of Shawarma's t-bone steak, upon reaching the roads of Kapt. Pepe, I suddenly remembered that it was weeks ago when Arnel and I are talking about dining at Paleta if given the time and chance ( it was pigar pigar and samgeopsyal that i really find interesting). So, instead of turning right, we took the left turn heading to paleta shabu shabu pigar pigar steak for our early dinner. As I enter this Paleta haven ( now, I understand why this was named "Paleta", the place majority composes of wooden paleta's, the rice dealers use in piling up their sacks of palays), I was amazed with the interiors, on how they have come out with such a beautiful, cozy place out of very simple materials. The floor was covered with stones ( wh...

Choco-late de batirol

Image
Choco-late de batirol I have been wanting for so long the experience to dine in one of the famous ☕ coffee shops in the city, the 🍫 Choco-late de batirol which is located near the Christmas 🌲🌲🌲 village inside the Baguio Country Club. It was after my appointment in Cooyesan when I really told myself that by this time, I will not leave Baguio City without having a glimpse of Choco-late de Batirol, so Arnel accompanied me. We went to the restaurant at around 🕒 3:00 in the afternoon, perfect time to have our snack and chocolate ☕drink. Choco-late de batirol menu Arnel just had his lunch, so he ordered a plate of palabok, while I had my platter of beef steak because I had not eaten anything yet after our breakfast at around 7 a.m., plus this resto hopping will not be complete without the chocolate batirols, We had the traditional and the 🍓 strawberry (since we were in Baguio) paired with "suman sa lihiya". Beef steak platter The beef steak platter...

Secret Bulalo

Image
Did you know that there is a bulaluhan hiding inside clark's air force city base? My father 1st brought us here years ago, and they really served one of the best homecooked bulalo... I've been asking Arnel several times before to bring me back here, until one day when we went to Clark to watch a drag race, we tagged along with our friends and to my surprise, we landed here... from that moment, this became one of the staples everytime we are in Clark, Pampanga... Fontilla's bulaluhan. This is not a cozy or fine dining resto that you would really expect. Literally, it is a local canteen inside the Air Force City, near the shools and other companies inside the base, (trust me, their bulalo is very good). You have to go 1st at the small screen window to give your orders, their bulalo is 170.00 and is good for 2-3 persons, it is served hot with soups and some calamansi, sili and fish sauce on the side. Their bulalo is very simple, they served it steamingl...

Bakerstreet

Image
It was one ☔ rainy afternoon when Arnel and I just woke up from our afternoon nap and felt hungry, so we decided to 🚗 roam around the streets of Cabanatuan City and landed at Bakerstreet. Strawberry yogurt and Peach yakult We asked for their best sellers and the lady recomended the 🍓 strawberry yogurt and peach yakult ( i am not a total fan of these fruit drinks, i prefer natural fruit shakes). What's good here is they serve it in a tall glass of mason jar (which i really love). Arnel seems to like his 🍓 strawberry yogurt because he finished it all... Pica Nachos For our appetizer, their pica nachos is good! The ground beef is properly cooked, mixed together with  the right amount of cheese, it has the cheese flavored tortilla chips ( tastes like tortillas cheese flavor ), hidden under the tower of grated cheese, and the plain nachos on the side. (the toppings are enough for the whole bunch of chips) Aligue Rice I went for the Aligue 🍚 rice ( because i so mi...
