Choco-late de batirol

Choco-late de batirol
I have been wanting for so long the experience to dine in one of the famous ☕ coffee shops in the city, the 🍫 Choco-late de batirol which is located near the Christmas 🌲🌲🌲 village inside the Baguio Country Club.

It was after my appointment in Cooyesan when I really told myself that by this time, I will not leave Baguio City without having a glimpse of Choco-late de Batirol, so Arnel accompanied me. We went to the restaurant at around 🕒 3:00 in the afternoon, perfect time to have our snack and chocolate ☕drink.

Choco-late de batirol menu

Arnel just had his lunch, so he ordered a plate of palabok, while I had my platter of beef steak because I had not eaten anything yet after our breakfast at around 7 a.m., plus this resto hopping will not be complete without the chocolate batirols, We had the traditional and the 🍓 strawberry (since we were in Baguio) paired with "suman sa lihiya".

Beef steak platter
The beef steak platter is a one complete meal with beef meat in caramelized onion and potatoes, mix veggies on the side, fried 🍌 bananas and 🍚 rice. The beef is very tender, the flavor of the steak is just right, not salty, the sweetness of the caramelized onion is easy to taste..

Suman sa lihiya
Suman sa lihiya is one if the rice cakes that I know is paired well with my chocolate ☕ batirol. Their suman sa lihiya is very different from what i used to have in Sta. Rosa, the rice cake is very fine and smooth, the shredded coconut meat is very fresh plus the crumbled brown sugar which is not too sweet. I like their suman, Arnel liked it too as well...

Strawberry (chocolate batirol)
I was kinda curious if what the 🍓 strawberry batirol tastes like, I was expecting for some home made strawberry syrup that they will pair with the chocolate batirol.  The strawberry batirol has a little bitter taste maybe because of the strawberry flavor that they put and not too sweet like the other instant chocolate drinks.

Traditional chocolate batirol
This is sooooo perfect! It tastes better than swiss miss, hersheys and other instant chocolate drinks. Not too sweet, not too bitter... everything is balanced with this traditional chocolate batirol and I love this! I'll try more of these with bibingka and turon...

I have not took more photos inside since the place was a bit crowded, but the place reminds me of "kusina luntian" in Baler. The flooring is plain stones, the interiors are compose of ornamental plants, wooden chairs and tables for the guests. The place is so perfect for relaxation, some chit chat with friends and daydreaming for lovers.. there is also a smoking area outside where in you can sit on wooden benches and feel the cold weather of Baguio City.

I will definitely go back here next time I visit Baguio again...
Thanks for the relaxing experience Choco-late de Batirol!
