Shy Pasta

Image
So there's this mini pasta resto around the neighborhood which offers a very affordable yet super delicious pasta dishes (TAKE NOTE: they come in almost all kinds of sauce whether be it RED, WHITE, CREAM or OIL based). I admit that when it comes to cooking, My taste buds are really hard to please... (I eat almost anything, I am not a picky eater but when it comes to indulgence, I really spend a lot when it comes to food that I really want to splurge in. I'm not fond of fancy resto's because what I have in my mind is that the best tasting food comes from hidden undiscovered places. So let's go back to Shy's Pasta... I'f I am not mistaken, Shy formerly works for CIBU Restaurant. (One can be found in Gateway, Araneta, Cubao, Quezon City). After several years of working for CIBU, she decided to stop and start her own resto business and that is the result of SHY Kitchen.   Shy Kitchen is located at Brgy. Zamora, Sta. Rosa, Nueva Ecija They serve almost a...

PERKS of a RIDER's WIFE

It's been nine years of wonderful moments being together, or should i say nine years of togetherness that kept us still and strong. Believe me, it was not easy. Ours is like an against all odd flicks that can be featured or shown in televisions. And look at us today, we are still surviving and fighting the storms. Thank God, we are born tough! Before each of us landed in each others arms, my husband is really into motorcycling. Ask him about anything and you can really rely on him especially those scooter bike types (we cannot afford yet the big ones but we are hoping and dreaming that someday, we could own a latest model of a classic Vespa scooter and a nice Ducati or BMW big bike that we can use to roam around our country). He goes for motorcycle touring with his friends, he joins motorcycle circuit racing competitions, drag racing bikes events and even motor shows. He's also into various motorcycle club organizations and 3 years ago, he started joining motorcycle endura...

Bento Craze

Image
I've been dreaming for so long on how I can create a very appealing and appetizing food art. I was thoroughly browsing over pinterest for limitless Bento diy ideas, been saving screenshots and downloading photos as my references on the day that I'll be able to make one.  And the day has come... It is Valentine and I want to surprise my husband a nice breakfast that will exertly put all my hidden talents and effort into.. It may just be a simple steamed-fried meal but this really test my creative skills.  My materials and ingredients are: Steamed rice  Basic shape nuggets Jumbo hotdogs Meat loaf Cheddar cheese Eggs Rommaine lettuce Foodpickers Food box Bamboo skewers I created a heart shaped and floral hotdogs, scrambled egg flowers and hotdog-cheese-meatloaf skewers. Casiguran is LOVE

Image
It was friday late afternoon when i came home from Morong, Bataan with my officemates, My husband and I decided for a quick summer ride to Casiguran, Aurora on the following morning. We left Sta.Rosa at around 5:30 am, passed the Pantabangan-Aurora road, had a quick stop and gas up at Pantabangan, Nueva Ecija, then went straight to Casiguran, Aurora. This ain't our 1st time because we 1st saw the beauty of Casiguran last May, 2013. Compared with our previous Casiguran trip. Last 2013, we hired a van that can bring us to this very wonderful paradise. It took us 8 hours on a motorcycle ride to see the beauty of Casapsapan beach, the rough roads are about 40% now compared last 2013 when several bridges and highways are under construction. After 3 years, we geared up and rode our mxi 125 and spent a 5 hour ride ( the van we had back then was an 8 hour ride). We only experienced 2 long rough roads which are very passable because the DPWH is continously doing road improvements in ...

πŸŒ΄πŸŒŠπŸ„πŸŒ΄πŸ„πŸŒŠπŸŒ΄ On the night of December 26, 2015 right after Christmas, Arnel suddenly crave for a quick year end right with me and his friends with team MXI. So the next morning, on December 27, 2015, We woke up early, grabbed our pants and jackets, tied our shoes, wore our helmets, rode our mx 125 motorbike and made our way to Baler, Aurora. (It was June of 2015 when we last visited Baler for the Amazing tour endurance challenge and it was also our first glimpse (thanks to tito noy) of the very native yet so stoked Kusina Luntian, i was not able to fully enjoy my 1st time during that moment because the place was so totally jam packed with guests and surfers, so to take another experience, we invited our friends to have our brunch at the native restaurant). πŸŒ±πŸšπŸ…πŸšπŸŒ± Kusina Luntian is just a small hut (typical bahay kubo), that you will not even easily notice the great food they serve unless you enter their facade. At the back of their main kubo is a long ope...

Hello Pigar pigar

Image
It was right after our all day nap when we woke up very hungry ( We watched the take off of manila matnog manila in Quezon city hall on the eve of November 28, 2015 ) I was craving for some creamy mushroom gravy and beef steak when I thought of Shawarma's t-bone steak, upon reaching the roads of Kapt. Pepe, I suddenly remembered that it was weeks ago when Arnel and I are talking about dining at Paleta if given the time and chance ( it was pigar pigar and samgeopsyal that i really find interesting). So, instead of turning right, we took the left turn heading to paleta shabu shabu pigar pigar steak for our early dinner. As I enter this Paleta haven ( now, I understand why this was named "Paleta", the place majority composes of wooden paleta's, the rice dealers use in piling up their sacks of palays), I was amazed with the interiors, on how they have come out with such a beautiful, cozy place out of very simple materials. The floor was covered with stones ( wh...

Choco-late de batirol

Image
Choco-late de batirol I have been wanting for so long the experience to dine in one of the famous β˜• coffee shops in the city, the 🍫 Choco-late de batirol which is located near the Christmas 🌲🌲🌲 village inside the Baguio Country Club. It was after my appointment in Cooyesan when I really told myself that by this time, I will not leave Baguio City without having a glimpse of Choco-late de Batirol, so Arnel accompanied me. We went to the restaurant at around πŸ•’ 3:00 in the afternoon, perfect time to have our snack and chocolate β˜•drink. Choco-late de batirol menu Arnel just had his lunch, so he ordered a plate of palabok, while I had my platter of beef steak because I had not eaten anything yet after our breakfast at around 7 a.m., plus this resto hopping will not be complete without the chocolate batirols, We had the traditional and the πŸ“ strawberry (since we were in Baguio) paired with "suman sa lihiya". Beef steak platter The beef steak platter...
